SNICKERDOODLES
1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup shortening 1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs **2 TB sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon for rolling
3 cups flour
MIX thoroughly the butter, shortening, sugar and eggs.
In separate bowl combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
Add flour mixture to liquid and mix thoroughly.
Shape dough into walnut size balls (Or a bit larger depending on what size cookies you want) and roll in the **sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 11-12 minutes. remove immediately from cookie sheet to a rack or parchment paper to cool.
